A heaped spoonful. One heaped spoonful (using the attached spoon) contains 0.3g, which is a single adult dose (over 15 years).

Should I pour the Ryukakusan into the back of my mouth?

A

No. Place the medicine on to your tongue, allow it to dissolve slowly, then let it trickle back towards your throat. If you pour the medicine into the back of your mouth, it may cause you to choke.

How many times a day should I take this medicine? How long should I leave between doses?

A

You can take it up to 6 times per day. Leave at least 2 hours between doses.

How long after taking the medicine can I eat or drink?

A

After about 15 to 30 minutes.

It doesn't say if I should take this medicine before or after meals. When should I take it?

A

It can be taken whenever you feel irritation in your throat, without regard for meals.

It does not contain any ingredients that cause drowsiness.

Should I keep taking it even if there's no effect?

If symptoms persist even after taking it for 5 to 6 days, consult your doctor, pharmacist, or registered seller in case your symptoms are being caused by another condition.

Ryukakusan can be given to children over 3 months old. The dosage is based on the patient's age, so please refer to the dosing instructions on the outer packaging or in the package insert.

This product should only be given to infants under 2 years old when circumstances are unavoidable, and we recommend that priority always be given to consulting a physician.
